Health & Vaccinations

(Covers Yellow Fever, malaria prophylaxis, and general safety tips)

  • Yellow Fever: A valid International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required if you are traveling from or transiting through a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
  • Malaria Prevention: Malaria prophylaxis is highly recommended for most safari destinations in Kenya. Current CDC guidelines recommend medications such as Atovaquone-proguanil, Doxycycline, or Mefloquine, as malaria in Kenya is resistant to chloroquine. Please consult your travel doctor 4–6 weeks before departure.
  • Routine Vaccines: Ensure your routine vaccinations (Tetanus, Polio, Typhoid) are up to date.
