Private Conservancies, Rhino Territory & Classic Tsavo Wilderness
Overview
This safari explores three distinct yet interconnected ecosystems in the greater Tsavo landscape: Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy, Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Tsavo West National Park.
Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy is a private conservancy bordering Tsavo East, known for its waterhole-front lodges that attract elephants, buffalo and plains game throughout the day.
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary offers a compact yet wildlife-rich conservancy setting supporting four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo – with excellent photographic opportunities and optional night drives.
Tsavo West delivers dramatic volcanic terrain and is one of the few parks in Kenya where the full Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros – can be found, particularly within the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary.
Together, these destinations provide diverse habitats, varied wildlife encounters and a more private safari atmosphere compared to high-traffic parks.
