Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival

Your Kenyan adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport. Settle in for a scenic drive (approximately 5-6 hours) to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a delicious lunch at your lodge. The afternoon unfolds with your introduction to the Maasai Mara's pristine wilderness. This haven for wildlife boasts an impressive diversity, including all members of the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) – potentially viewable in a single morning game drive! Embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast 1,800 square kilometers of the park. Witness iconic landscapes – lion-gold grasslands, lilac-misted hills, a meandering river, and acacia woodlands. Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, giraffes, hyenas, elands, gazelles, and the park's renowned big cats. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

A full day awaits in the Maasai Mara, filled with exciting morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers some of the best opportunities in Africa to witness cheetahs and lions in their natural habitat. Between July and November, you might even witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Great Migration firsthand. Observe nearly two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles embark on their seasonal journey, driven by rainfall patterns. Witness the dramatic river crossings, a testament to the resilience of these remarkable animals. After a thrilling day on the savanna, return to your tented camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Enjoy an early morning breakfast with the optional opportunity to visit a Maasai village and immerse yourself in their fascinating culture. Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying a picnic lunch on the way. Arrive in the evening, ready to explore the park's diverse habitats.
Lake Nakuru National Park boasts a shallow, alkaline lake that attracts a wide variety of wildlife. The park encompasses not only the lake but also picturesque ridges and the surrounding escarpment. Your primary activity for the day is a thrilling game drive. Observe a fascinating array of foragers, grazers, hunters, and scavengers thriving within the park's ecosystem.
Lake Nakuru is a haven for birdwatchers, with over 450 recorded species, including a captivating population of flamingos. The park is renowned for its black and white rhino sanctuary and offers opportunities to see zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffes, impalas, and other large mammals. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a comfortable lodge.

After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, focusing on the park's incredible birdlife. With a picnic lunch included, depart for Amboseli National Park. Arrive in the evening, ready to be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, from your lodge.
