Overview
This 4-day adventure whisks you away to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, a land teeming with wildlife and breathtaking beauty. Here, the Mara and Talek rivers, teeming with crocodiles and hippos, provide a life-sustaining source of water throughout the year. This abundance, coupled with a constant supply of food, makes the Masai Mara, an extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, a haven for the greatest concentration of wild animals in all of Africa.
Itinerary
An early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport marks the beginning of your safari adventure. Our experienced driver-guide will lead you towards the Masai Mara, with a captivating stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Marvel at the stunning landscapes as you pass through the town of Narok. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive, where with a bit of luck, you might spot lions, cheetahs, and other magnificent predators roaming freely.
Today, you have the flexibility to customize your experience. Choose from a full-day game drive within the Mara, complete with a delicious picnic lunch, or opt for separate morning and afternoon game drives, maximizing your wildlife viewing opportunities. For an unforgettable aerial perspective, consider an optional hot air balloon ride (payable directly) at dawn.
In between your game drives, you have the opportunity to visit a local Maasai village (additional cost). Immerse yourself in their rich culture, gain insights into their way of life, and witness their traditional customs firsthand. Throughout the day, keep your eyes peeled for a diverse array of wildlife. The distant trees might transform into graceful giraffes, a cluster of bushes could reveal a pride of lions, and a seemingly motionless rock might suddenly lumber into view, revealing a majestic rhino. With focused observation and a touch of luck, you might encounter a playful cheetah family or witness a herd of elephants majestically crossing your path. Even the smaller creatures offer entertainment, with families of warthogs dashing at full speed, momentarily forgetting the reason for their frantic run before regrouping in a comical huff.
Similar to Day 2, you can tailor your exploration. Opt for a full-day game drive or split it into morning and afternoon adventures, maximizing your wildlife viewing opportunities. The option for a hot air balloon ride and a visit to the Maasai village remains available (payable directly). As you continue your exploration, keep your camera ready to capture the incredible sights and experiences the Mara offers.
Sadly, your safari adventure comes to an end today, but the memories you've created will last a lifetime. After breakfast, depart from the Masai Mara and journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy a delicious lunch upon arrival before we transfer you to your preferred hotel or airport for your departure. This concludes our services, but we warmly welcome you back to explore the magic of African safaris with us again in the future.
