Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our friendly representatives will greet you and whisk you away to the luxurious Outpost Lodge Arusha for a comfortable overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. If you arrive early and are eager to explore, we can arrange an optional urban tour to introduce you to the vibrant culture of Arusha town.
After a delicious breakfast, your dedicated safari guide will pick you up from Arusha and embark on a scenic drive towards Tarangire National Park. Get ready to be captivated by the park's diverse wildlife, including a staggering number of elephants and the iconic baobab trees. The name "Tarangire" originates from the life-giving Tarangire River that snakes its way through the park. This park is particularly spectacular during the dry season (June-November) when wildlife concentrations rival those of the Serengeti, as animals gather around the Tarangire River, their sole source of water.
Throughout the day, enjoy thrilling game drives, keeping your eyes peeled for over 2,000 resident elephants and a staggering 500 bird species. In the evening, unwind at your luxurious accommodation, Heart & Soul Lodge, where all meals and daily drinking water are provided.
Following breakfast, your guide will collect you and embark on a journey towards the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. In the afternoon, prepare for an exhilarating game drive, venturing into the vast plains and witnessing the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Great Migration, a timeless display of survival where millions of animals embark on their seasonal journey.
At the end of the day, retire to your opulent accommodation, Kontik Tented Camp. Savor delicious meals and enjoy the included daily drinking water as you reflect on the day's incredible experiences.
Rise with the African sun and embark on another captivating game drive within the heart of the Serengeti. Explore the central region, renowned for offering excellent opportunities to spot elusive leopards basking in the branches of sausage trees. Later, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will spend the night at the magnificent Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. All meals and daily drinking water are included at this luxurious haven.
After a hearty breakfast at 6:30 am, prepare for a breathtaking descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. Witness a diverse landscape encompassing acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and sprawling grasslands.
Within the crater walls teeming with over 30,000 large mammals, keep your eyes peeled for elephants, warthogs, flamingos, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. You might even spot Maasai people grazing their cattle alongside the wildlife, creating a harmonious picture of coexistence. Later, enjoy a delicious lunch before departing for Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes.
